The living tree adorned with lights adds a touch of whimsy, making you feel as if you're dining in the great outdoors while still sheltered from the elements.
Now, let's talk about the food, which has received high praise from patrons. For a main course, you can indulge in the Loch Duart Salmon, artfully accompanied by braised artichokes, corn succotash, and a vibrant salsa verde. Alternatively, the Chicken Breast Wrapped in Prosciutto offers an exquisite combination of flavors, enhanced by a charred corn fregola and porcini mustard. Each dish is a testament to the chef’s skill, with a careful balance of seasonings that ensures nothing overshadows the fresh produce.
If you're in the mood for something lighter, the delightful sandwich offerings should not be overlooked. The Burrata Sandwich is a fresh take on a classic, featuring tomatoes, zucchini, almonds, and olives slathered in rich pesto. The crispy, fluffy bread that accompanies your meal is often noted as a highlight in itself, perfectly setting the stage for the delightful dishes that follow.
And let’s not forget dessert! The Jeffersonian Chocolate Pecan Pie is a must-try. This chocolate pecan tart—rich with maple syrup and bourbon—is served warm with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream atop a drizzle of caramel and sprinkled with crushed hazelnuts. It’s a sweet symphony that brings diners back for more, often leading to discussions of its praises long after the last bite is savored.

Best and most consistent Kitchen in Redlands. Never had a bad meal here with amazing fresh dishes, flavors and sublime execution. Top tier Service and drinks make this a location I bring others to for special events.

Food was good overall. They didn't oversalt or overseason anything. Decor is nice and they have a live tree growing inside with some lights on it. It feels like you're eating outdoors, but you're inside. Waiters were on point with service and nice, kept up on the refills. We started with the ahi tuna tartare. It came with avocado mixed in and some chips on the side. No complaints about the dish; it was refreshing and good. Oh, the bread they give you before anything is so good as well. Crispy on the outside, fluffy and warm on the inside. My wife ordered the rainbow trout. I can't speak to if the dish is good or not since I only has one small bite from her plate and it from a bland part. I had the crunchy pork chop. I love breaded and fried pork, but sometimes it's cooked too much and it sucks out the moisture. Did not have that problem here; crunchy yet soft inside. Without the dipping sauce it's good, but not super flavorful. That sauce is amazing though and really completes the dish. Side greens were seasoned well and were a welcome addition. Overall, I would come here again. The food doesn't blow you away and make you think of it years later, but it is good! They also don't fall into the trap of being too salty/overseasoned, like a lot of fine restaurants do. Of all the fine restaurants I've been to, half of them leave me disappointed and I don't come back. This is one of the good ones. I'm hoping I do find one dish on their menu that makes me remember it often.

This is a little wine bar in downtown Redlands with a cute outdoor patio area that faces the main street, so it's good for people watching. I wouldn't suggest bringing children here, but for adults, the men is Decent. I haven't tried very much on it yet, but the food was good though a little pricey for what we got. The cocktails were just OK, so I would stick to wine since it is a wine bar.

A friend and I were walking along State Street, the main drag, in downtown Redlands looking for a place for dinner. There were many options. The cute outdoor eating area of Caprice Cafe drew us in. Unfortunately, the outdoor seating was full, but we were able to get a small table inside, which also had a quaint appearance and was tastefully decorated. Once, seated, it took a while to get a menu and to get served, but our server then noticed that, and was spot on from that point forward. The menu is quite large, with a huge variety of choices. It took a while for us to both study. As it was a hot evening, we both chose salads. I chose the Roquefort salad with chicken added. My friend had the beet salad with trout added. My salad was a very generous portion and it was tasty and fresh. My friends salad was smaller, but also less pricey. She said that she enjoyed it as well. They brought out complimentary delicious bread with olive oil, and even brought more when requested. I enjoyed my dinner with a glass of vihno verde. All in all, we had a very nice, but casual meal. If I find myself in downtown Redlands, I would eat there again.

The last time I was there, I thought that the service was a little off. My husband ordered the burger and he requested medium rare and it was well done. The waitress had an odd sense of humor. It was pleasant on the patio . I love the food, I think they could make some updates on the menu. I will, of course go back there again, but the service was off

My favorite State Street lunchtime location for delighting cocktails and scrumptious opportunities. Service is informed while also warm & welcoming. I love the indoor and outdoor spaces. The restroom is a bit of a walk into a hidden hallway; however, the walls are lined with impressive awards along the way.
